Dear Athletes and Coaches,

After a ten year run and over thirty world records The Meet in the Heat reached all of it goals and is retiring as an event. Vie Sports Marketing will not host a high performance track event in Atlanta this summer. Born from the simple desire to have world class Paralympic track events in North America, saving on travel costs and making peaking easier, The Meet in the Heat and the World Series hosted for over a decade. Please look for a new meet, with new focus in summer 2010.

All of the 2008 Beijing Paralympics results are now in the wcracing.net database — this includes results for wheelchair, running, jumping and throwing. Also added were most of the major Fall marathons: Berlin Marathon, NY City Marathon, Oita Marathon and the Chicago Marathon. Please help us expand and develop the community database.

Welcome to the upgraded wcracing.net Web site!

As you can see, we’ve modified the look and feel, as well as the structure. Some of the changes include:

• The top navigation bar takes you directly into the wcracing.net database, where you can browse athlete results and bios, make comparisons between athlete performances and — most importantly — upload and update YOUR bio.
• A blog format as the primary interface. You can navigate through all of the posts via the bloglist menu on the upper right module. Our most recent posts are listed, but you can access all posts through the “Categories” listing.

Still available for you are the Global Calendar, Peter’s Corner, Forum and Links to organizations, events and athlete sites.
